'Tragedy' if MPs don't vote for assisted dying

FAILING to give terminally ill people the right to die would be a catastrophe, campaigning MP Kim Leadbeater has said.

The appeal by the politician, whose Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill will again be debated in the Commons on April 25, came at a Westminster event yesterday.

Labour MP Ms Leadbeater said: "What worries me is that if the bill doesn't pass the conversation ends and that would be really dreadful for so many people.
