Nearly two years have passed since the new Hammers manager celebrated his side scoring in the Premier League.

He got two in as many first-half minutes here to set West Ham on the path to a hard-fought victory in his first home game at the helm.

After losing his opening match at Aston Villa in the FA Cup, Potter had glaring issues to solve at both ends of the pitch.

West Ham shipped nine goals in their two league games before last night, while injuries to Michail Antonio, Niclas Fullkrug and Jarrod Bowen have left them light up top.
