Taxpayer will fund me for life, boasts hate preacher Abu Hamza

The hook-handed cleric has told US prison bosses hard-working Britons will fund his care for "free" in his bid to be immediately discharged from his life sentence on health grounds.

Last night, Hamza's comments sparked fury as a taxpayers' group said people were "sick of being insulted by this tinpot terrorist".

The jihadi is currently in Colorado's notorious ADX Florence prison, nicknamed the "Alcatraz of the Rockies", where he is being held alongside some of the world's most dangerous men.

The radical Islamist cleric, notorious for hate-filled sermons, was convicted of 11 terrorism charges in May 2014 in New York after being extradited from the UK.
