Stalker spared prison for six years harassing Ballas

Kyle Shaw, 37, bombarded the TV star, her friends and colleagues with threats and messages after his mother told him his dad was Shirley's late brother, David Rich.

Distress

Wearing a face-mask and baseball cap at Liverpool Crown Court, Shaw was handed a lifelong restraining order banning him from contacting Shirley, her niece, mother and former partner. Shaw, of Birkenhead, Wirral, was also given a 20-month suspended prison sentence after admitting stalking the BBC star, causing serious harm or distress, between August 31, 2017 and November 29, 2023-and possession of cannabis.
