"I'm heading into Zulia state," he informs us tonight, in the third and (ominously?) final part of MICHAEL PALIN IN VENEZUELA (5, 9pm). In response to which, I'm shouting from my sofa: "No! No! Don't head into Zulia state, Michael!

"It's one of Venezuela's most notoriously dangerous regions, with a history of violence and gang warfare.

"It says so in your programme's press release."

But of course he doesn't hear me. People on the telly that I shout at never do (not even Stephen Mulhern, and believe me, I regularly shout at that guy until I'm pretty much hoarse).
