And right now, many investors are once again turning to gold as a haven amid rising global tensions and volatile stock markets. President Trump’s tariffs and U-turns have shaken the markets in recent weeks. Gold prices have soared to record highs in tandem, from around £1,620 per ounce in early 2024 to more than £2,400 in April 2025, as investors flock to invest.
