Zoe emulates Izzy's bronze, eight years on

ZOE and Izzy Atkin will argue over whose bronze is better after they became the first British siblings to medal at the Winter Olympics in 102 years.

Atkin, 23, soared to freeski halfpipe bronze eight years after older sister Izzy had the same colour around her neck at PyeongChang, Britain's first Olympic medallist on skis.

They might compete in different events, with Izzy preferring slopestyle, but it has sparked a sibling rivalry in the Atkin house like no other.

Best friends off the slopes but always wanting to beat each other on them, Zoe was not quite able to better her sister in Italy, with a score of 92.50 enough for third.

In doing so, they became the first siblings to medal at the Winter Games since Colin and Eric Carruthers claimed bronze in the mens ice hockey in 1924.

Zoe said: “To be able to come back to the Olympics and be on the podium means so much to me.
