Shoplifter who netted £100k haul in 99 raids finally jailed

A SHOPLIFTER who stole more than £100,000 of goods in three months has been jailed and banned from every Boots shop in Britain.

Liam Hutchinson, 32, carried out 99 raids where he would stash goods into empty bags or hide them inside his clothing.

The thief specialised in stealing electrical items and razors as he targeted Boots stores in the west London borough of Kensington and Chelsea, taking £107,000 of items.

After a police probe into one of Britain's most prolific individual shoplifters, Hutchinson was sentenced to 12 months in prison.

He admitted the offences committed between May and August this year.
