Second round of joint US and UK airstrikes in Yemen

THE US and British militaries have for a second time conducted joint airstrikes targeting Houthi missile sites in Yemen.

Tomahawk Several American officials said joint operation hit multiple sites used by the Iranian-backed rebels.

They used warship- and submarine-launched missiles and fighter jets to take out missile storage sites and launchers, according to the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

US and UK warships and jets previously hit more than 60 targets in 28 locations on January 11.

The strikes came just hours after Rishi Sunak held crisis talks with US President Joe Biden.

Yesterday's raids came as the US Navy's top commander in the Middle East said Iran is "directly involved" in attacks that Houthis have carried out on shipping in alleged support of Israel's war against Hamas.
