GERWYN PRICE admits he took his eye off the bull to open a fishand-chip takeaway - and he got battered every week.

The 'Iceman' enjoyed a surprisingly comfortable passage into the third round of the PDC World Championship with a 3-0 whitewash of Keane Barry at Alexandra Palace on Monday.

Price, who has endured a barren 2024, only realised how much he missed the thrill of the big time when he was sat at home last month during the Grand Slam of Darts, a competition he has won three times, after failing to qualify.
