Blistering 34.7C is 2025 record but respite is on way for some
A DAY at the beach as temperatures reached 34.7C (94.4F) will likely be seared in the memory and on the body - of this gent for some time.
He appeared to have overdone it in Weymouth, Dorset, on the hottest day of the year and he was not alone as the South and South East of England suffered suffocating heat.
St James's Park in Central London recorded the highest temperature, pipping the 34.4C in Writtle, Essex.
