Raducanu vows to play through pain

EMMA RADUCANU pledged to play through the pain at Wimbledon after suffering more back problems in her defeat at the Lexus Eastbourne Open.
Asked if there was a chance she could miss her home Grand Slam next week, the British No.1 said: “No, I think I will step on the court regardless.”
The former US Open winner suffered back spasms before the Australian and French Opens and pulled out of last week’s Berlin Open after a recurrence at Queen's Club. She has been undergoing more acupuncture and took tablets this week to ease the pain.
Raducanu, 22, said she also received “pretty bad” personal news on the eve of this tournament.
