EDDIE JONES finds himself backed into the tightest of corners tomorrow in Lyon - and he is revelling in it.

Lose to Wales, a week on from their earth-shattering defeat by Fiji, and it is almost certainly curtains for the Wallabies and their larger-than-life head coach at this World Cup.

It would be the first time Australia had failed to make the knockout stages and would trigger a wider debate about Jones's position only eight months into a five-year contract.

There is all the pressure in the world 63-year-old, above, this on the weekend. But he is lapping it up. He is made for knife-edge moments like these.

"When you coach, you make a choice to put yourself in these positions," he said.
