PM's council set to lose funding in Rayner's town hall reforms

ONE in four English councils - including the Prime Minister's - will lose cash for vital services like bin collections under Angela Rayner's bid to shake up town hall funding.

Those in London, the South West and South East will be hardest hit, according to the Institute for Fiscal Studies think tank. The Deputy PM says from next year she will ensure government funding goes where it is needed most. Town halls able to raise more from council tax will be considered to
