ANGE POSTECOGLOU'S job at Tottenham remains in huge doubt but his trusted assistant Nick Montgomery insists: "The future's bright".

Head coach Postecoglou guided Spurs to Europa League glory, securing Champions League qualification, but also oversaw their worst Premier League campaign as the club finished 17th, one place above the relegation zone.

His fate appears to hang in the balance but right-hand man Montgomery said: "People can't use that 'Spursy' tag any more, and winning the Europa League is a great opportunity for the club to really kick on.

"Tottenham have been desperate for a trophy for so long. Some world-class managers and coaches have been here and not achieved what we did.
