RASMUS HOJGAARD secured the remaining automatic qualifying place in Europe’s Ryder Cup team — as Sweden’s Alex Noren held his nerve to take a one-shot win in the British Masters at the Belfry.

Hojgaard made sure of his spot in the team at Bethpage next month with a closing round of 71 to finish on eight under par and a share of 13th place.
And while he replaces Shane Lowry in the top six guaranteed a spot in the team, the Irishman is certain to be among six wild cards.
