Minneapolis congresswoman defiant after syringe attack

A CRAZED attacker was wrestled to the ground after spraying a congresswoman with an unknown substance from a syringe in Minneapolis.

Onlookers recoiled in horror as the man rushed at Democrat Ilhan Omar as she called for Donald Trump's homeland security chief, Kristi Noem, to step down.

Ms Omar, 43, who has faced personal verbal attacks from Mr Trump, declined medical treatment.

After initially walking towards the man, she said: "I learned at a young age, you don't give in to threats."
