Letby faces new allegations over deaths of babies

MURDER squad detectives investigating killer nurse Lucy Letby have submitted evidence on more allegations related to baby deaths and collapses at hospitals where she worked to prosecutors.

The accusations are being considered by lawyers at the Crown Prosecution Service after receiving the evidence from Cheshire Police in recent days.

The number and exact nature of the potential new offences has not been made public. It could take weeks before a decision is made on whether to charge Letby with more offences.
