THE search for Cuprinol’s Shed of the Year is underway, which means it’s officially spring and a good time to repaint or stain sheds, fences and outdoor wooden furniture.

Minimum recommended temperatures for outdoor painting are between 5 and 10C, making March, April and May the sweet spot —and if you’ve got a particularly colourful or unique shed, cabin, summerhouse or outdoor workshop, you’ve got until May 31 to enter the competition at readersheds.co.uk.
