KEEP CALM AND CARRICK ON
Daily Express
|February 10, 2026
MICHAEL CARRICK is keeping his feet firmly on the ground despite Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes labelling him a "great manager".
Saturday's 2-0 home win over Tottenham was United's fourth victory in a row since Carrick took interim charge - it is more than three years since they last won five Premier League games on the spin.
That is the prize on offer at the London Stadium tonight when they face West Ham.
Carrick has engineered an impressive turnaround at Old Trafford and United are now in the box seat in the race for Champions League football next season.
The 44-year-old's impressive start since being appointed head coach until the end of the season is also putting him in contention to get the job on a longterm basis.
Fernandes gave the impression he would be happy to see Carrick stay on after the win against Spurs.
