Jenrick demands Reform UK's Zia Yusuf quits after 'antisemitic' post apology
Daily Express
|July 19, 2025
REFORM UK politician Zia Yusuf sparked an antisemitism row with Tory Robert Jenrick yesterday after appearing to “like” a social media post attacking the MP’s Jewish wife.
Mr Yusuf, who quit as Reform chairman last month, later said sorry on X and claimed it had been accidentally posted by a member of his team.
But Mr Jenrick refused to accept the apology, saying: “I call bulls***.”
The war of words erupted after Mr Yusuf’s X account liked a post from a far-Right account that used antisemitic and racist terminology.
After inquiries by the Express Mr Yusuf, who is now head of Reform’s initiative to drive down local public spending, posted a statement to X. He wrote: “One of the team who post to my X account accidentally pressed like on an awful antisemitic tweet earlier today. I apologise for this.”
