ALEXANDER ISAK has opened the door to a British-record transfer to Liverpool after telling Newcastle he wants to explore a move away.
Isak did not travel with the Magpies to Singapore yesterday for their pre-season tour, though the club insisted he had a thigh issue.
But it is thought the Sweden striker asked to be left behind. He also missed Saturday's 4-0 defeat at Celtic.
Liverpool will consider a fresh approach now after their initial enquiry was knocked back 10 days ago.
