Dozens of blades left at hospital that saved attack victim

A YOUNG man recalled his terror at being stabbed with a 15in knife as the first blade amnesty held in a hospital took scores of weapons off the streets.

Medics at St George’s Hospital in Tooting, South London, say they have seen a near-doubling in such potentially lethal attacks in two years.

Deadly weapons such as zombie knives, machetes and knuckledusters were dumped anonymously in a bin.

The patient, who is in his 20s but did not want to be named, received emergency treatment there for internal bleeding from a kidney wound.
