ANGE Postecoglou's Tottenham finished the year with another three goals to equal a club record of finding the net in 32 consecutive league matches.

But the most remarkable stat as they closed out 2023 was how Bournemouth scored only once, despite sending in 24 shots in another chaotic top-flight encounter.

Dominic Solanke missed a sackful of chances as Andoni Iraola's stylish side repeatedly unpicked the Spurs press.

But after Pape Sarr's first-half opener, the in-form Cherries were given a lesson in lethal finishing by Heung-Min Son and Richarlison.

Substitute Alex Scott finally found the net late on and 10-man Spurs, who lost substitute Alejo Veliz to injury, were hanging on during 12 minutes of added time.

A year which started on a home defeat by Aston Villa with Antonio Conte in the dugout ended in more celebrations for Postecoglou and his side.
