H&S boss sues after balcony plunge 'while taking photo'

THE health and safety chief for a cosmetics firm is suing his employers for millions after plummeting three storeys off a balcony at work.

Glyn Caddick suffered life-changing injuries and claims online giant Beauty Bay and warehouse owner Gxo Logistics UK Ltd breached health and safety rules because a guard rail was not tall enough.

But the companies point out Mr Caddick was responsible for such matters and say the accident was his fault — alleging he “fell headfirst” over the bar while “precariously” leaning out to take a photo.
