'Gas leak pong' is smelliest fruit

A SUSPECTED gas leak that sparked an emergency response turned out to be the odour of a notoriously smelly fruit.
Gas engineers were sent to Lytham, Lancashire, after locals reported a strong smell in the high street.
The source of the stench was discovered when staff from the Cadent gas company walked into Strongs fruit and veg shop.
