No drastic changes but Andrews is determined to be his own man

- BY NEIL McLEMAN

KEITH ANDREWS has insisted his Brentford will not be “copy and paste” from the Thomas Frank playbook.

Andrews faces his first Premier League test tomorrow away to Nottingham Forest and still views Frank, now at Tottenham, as something of a mentor.

But while Andrews, who spent last season as the set-piece coach at the GTech Stadium, has pledged evolution rather than revolution under his management, he is very much his own man.

“T haven't changed much from last season, why would I?” he said. “It was a team that finished 10th in the Premier League. It's been a steady ship here and I certainly don’t want to navigate in a different direction’

But the Premier League is never plain sailing and Bryan Mbeumbo and Christian Norgaard have followed Frank out while Yohan Wissa wants to go. Former Liverpool stars Jordan Henderson and Caoimhin Kelleher have come in.
