Daily Express
|October 23, 2023
HUNDREDS of fans left flowers and tributes at Old Trafford yesterday after Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton's death at 86.
One draped a scarf around the neck of his statue which stands with depictions of his fellow United heroes George Best and Denis Law.
One message read: "Thank you Sir Bobby, a hero to the worldwide football family." United fan group The 1958 said: "History, dignity and integrity is what you gave to our great club. Our promise to you is to make sure it stays."
