The award-winning show returns and this time Adjani Salmon's character gets his big break – with mixed blessings

When Dreaming Whilst Black went from being a web series to a Bafta-winning BBC hit, creator Adjani Salmon was thrilled.

However, the second series almost didn't happen because his asthma halted filming for a fortnight. "I was sick for about two weeks,' he says, "Between takes, I was on a ventilator because I had asthma throughout the week to the point where insurance gets involved."
