Doctoring of Panorama just the tip of the iceberg

THOUGH no fan of Donald Trump, I find it incredulous that BBC staff decided to edit and splice two parts of a speech to make Trump look bad on their programme.

Doctoring of Panorama just the tip of the iceberg

NO LICENCE IF LITIGATION GOES AHEAD

If he goes ahead with his litigation, I won't be paying my licence fee - I'll go to court before I'm made to pay it. It's disgusting that an institution once known for unbiased journalism is now rife with news doctoring to suit their staff members' political viewpoints.

It's no wonder there's a groundswell of folk abandoning paying their licence fee. It's absolutely despicable behaviour from a once trusted news source.

HAVE LITTLE FAITH IN THE BBC NOW

DURING my one and only visit to Broadcasting House in London some years ago, the phrase "...wwhatsoever things are beautiful and honest and of good report" was prominently displayed in the foyer.

The biblical inscription references words from Philippians 4:8. I was told this reflected the biblical values of the BBC's founder, John Reith, whose father was a church minister.

The inscription has remained in place through building renovations, but is it still adhered to or quietly forgotten? Mike Critchley, Gosport, Hants

PAID A GRAND SUM FOR EDIT DISASTER

IT NOW very much looks like Tim Davie and his CEO Deborah Turness have both jumped ship before being pushed.

By resigning promptly prior to any hearing that could take place, they may have effectively avoided being sacked, so presumably they will both have a full entitlement to their BBC pensions, and with their current salaries being in the region of £500k it will be a pension of considerable worth.

Therefore they will effectively be well rewarded for doing much wrong while working for the BBC.
