Harry lands role as JP's retained rider
HARRY COBDEN said it was “brilliant” to bag the number one job with JP McManus and succeed some of the all-time greats of National Hunt racing.
The 27-year-old was yesterday named as the Grand National and Gold Cup-winning owner’s new retained rider in Britain and Ireland.
Cobden will take over from Mark Walsh, in the job since Barry Geraghty retired in 2020, at the end of May and 20-time champion AP McCoy.
