Painful injury no longer a worry

BRYDON CARSE has the spring back in his bowling step after ignoring team-mates’ advice to cut off one of his toes.

The South African-born star faces the West Indies back at his adopted Durham home fit, raring to go and determined to prove he has not lost any of his all-round skills.

Carse, 29, insists the nasty foot injury that forced him out of the Champions Trophy early, and then cost him his lucrative IPL place, is history.

England, under Harry Brook, right, head into the T20 series today against the Windies following a 3-0 win in the ODIs.
