Yorkshire farmer Reuben Owen shares his festive plans with girlfriend Jessica Ellwood in Christmas In The Dales

Reuben Owen is inviting his fans to discover what a farming festive season in the Yorkshire Dales is really like in Reuben Owen: Christmas In The Dales - however, one thing he won't reveal is whether this is the Christmas when he will propose to his girlfriend Jessica Ellwood.

"I simply couldn't say... I have a couple of ideas - I think she'll be surprised," he says on the subject of whether Jess should expect a ring under the tree this year. "I'm not saying nowt, you'll have to wait and see."

The 22-year-old, who rose to fame with mum Amanda, dad Clive and his eight siblings on the popular series Our Yorkshire Farm, does confess that he has been thinking about his and Jess's future as part of his New Year resolutions for 2026. "I've been told to stop buying as much machinery and start saving up for a house for us, so I should probably start doing that - that's my New Year resolution," he says. "As local as possible, and it would be a farm, as opposed to a house. We'll just have to wait and see what comes up. My mum gave me a four-mile radius to live in, so it'll be around here somewhere."

In the meantime, there is Christmas to celebrate, and this seasonal TV special features not only Reuben and Jess, but also her family as the couple help them renovate a building on their farm for a Christmas celebration.
