Lisa's wife Becky has sensationally returned to fight for her family. Corrie newcomer Amy Cudden tells us more

After an incredible proposal outside Underworld earlier this month, Carla Connor and Lisa Swain were preparing to celebrate their love with a glorious wedding.

But that was before Lisa's wife Becky Swain came back from the dead. Now things will never be the same again for Carla (Alison King), Lisa (Vicky Myers) and Lisa's daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin), who all believed that Becky was killed in the line of duty back in 2021. Last night, Becky told Lisa she's been in hiding to protect them from a drug gang after an undercover job went wrong. Here, actress Amy Cudden reveals how she won the role of Becky, and why the copper will stop at nothing to get her wife and daughter back.

Hi, Amy! So Becky is alive. Was it hard keeping the secret that you're playing Becky Swain?

I am so pleased we managed to keep the arrival a secret. I didn't want fans of the show to lose any of the pleasure they're going to get from the arrival of this character and all of the big feelings that are going to come along with that. So I told my husband and my mum and some close family, and kept it at that.

How did you get the part of Becky?
