Airport profits take off amid a rise in passengers

PROFITS at London City Airport almost doubled in 2024, increasing from £6.6m to £11.8m thanks to a boost in passenger numbers.

Turnover rose from £102.6m to £115m while passenger traffic increased by 4.6% year-on-year with 3.6 million people going through the airport. Its ontime performance also lifted by 2% to 73%. In 2023, London City Airpor
