United look to solve keeper crisis with swoop for Lammens
MANCHESTER UNITED to address their goalkeeper crisis on transfer deadline day by signing Senne Lammens for £18.2million plus add-ons.
United decided to recruit a new No.1 after mistakes by Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana at the start of the season.
The 23-year-old Belgian travelled to Manchester yesterday to complete his move from Royal Antwerp and has signed a five-year deal at Old Trafford.
United also managed to offload two more members of head coach Ruben Amorim's 'bomb squad', as Jadon Sancho joined Aston Villa on loan and Antony made a permanent move to Real Betis, while Rasmus Hojlund went to Napoli on a season-long loan.
As part of the deal, the Serie A champions have an obligation to buy the Denmark striker who cost United £72m in 2023 - for £38m next summer if they reach the Champions League.
