WI marks VE Day

ASTON and District WI held their June meeting at which President Glenys Inight welcomed members and visitors to a special VE Day celebration.

The room was decorated in red, white and blue and some colourful outfits could be found together with a couple of Land Girls.

Following the singing of a Jerusalem a minute's silence was held in memory of a past President, Janet Spencer, who passed away recently.
