JOSH March and Phil Croker scored in their first appearances as Crewe Alexandra ran out 6-0 winners at Kidsgrove Athletic.
-
Striker March got on the end of an Oliver Armstrong cross to finish at the far post, while defender Croker powered a header home after a Fin Roberts cross, in the first friendly of the summer.
Joel Tabiner bagged a first-half brace as The Railwaymen fielded two almost completely different sides in each half. Matus Holicek was on the mark, and a trialist also netted.
It was a comfortable afternoon for Lee Bell's side, who took charge from the start at Autonet Insurance Stadium.
Jordan Hodkin went close with a far post header before Jack Powell teed Tabiner up for a simple opener on nine minutes.
Tabiner and Hodkin both hit the woodwork before the trialist made it 2-0.
Tabiner smashed the third on 36 minutes while, at the other end, ex-Crewe man Oliver Finney forced a smart save from keeper Tom Booth.
