Finney out to repay Crewe duo's faith

Charlie signs new deal and targets more game time

CHARLIE Finney is hoping to repay the faith shown in him by Alex coaches Lee Bell and Ryan Dicker after signing a new one-year contract with Crewe.

The 21-year-old, who has been at the club since the age of six, penned fresh terms which include an option for a further 12 months.

The left-footer, who can play in defence or midfield, has put serious calf injuries which significantly restricted his involvement over the past couple of years behind him.

Now, after a productive loan spell at Buxton which aided a return to the Alex first team, he has made 41 appearances for The Railwaymen in total.
