Call for council to back families against porn and self harm material online

CHESHIRE East must support families who are campaigning against 'faceless' companies which allow pornographic and self-harm material on their platforms, a councillor has said.
Cllr Liz Wardlaw (Odd Rode) was speaking during a debate on the council's domestic abuse service at a meeting of the children and families committee.
The Conservative councillor said: “If there’s any way this committee could support those families who are trying to change the online availability of pornographic material and the material that causes them [children] to self-harm, or worse.
“These companies seem to be, to me anyway, completely invisible.
