40-home plan on industrial site

PLANS for 40 homes have been recommended for approval on a Nantwich site originally earmarked for an office building and a group of industrial warehouse units.

Muller Property Group and Anwyl Homes have applied for permission for the residential development on land off Peter De Stapleigh Way at Stapeley.

The application site is part of a larger area which was granted permission on appeal in 2020 for mixed-use development.

This part of the site - phase two - already has approval for employment and this latest proposal for 40 homes is one of two residential applications for phase two which will be considered by Cheshire East’s strategic planning board next week.

The other is for a retired living scheme.

This 40-home proposal comprises a mix of house types of one, two, three and four bedrooms which includes semi-detached, detached and apartment units.
