A COVENTRY family is in mourning after a tragic accident claimed the life of a devoted father of six just before Christmas.

- By JASPREET KAUR News Reporter

Paul Suddens fell down the stairs at his home in Stoke.

Partner Sarah said she jumped out of bed after hearing a loud bang in the early hours of December 5. Paul was shouting in agony and mouthed that he was having difficulty breathing.

Sarah quickly dialled 999, and her son and son-in-law began performing CPR on Paul. Paramedics arrived shortly afterwards and transported Paul to University Hospital Coventry.

Sarah said: “All I heard was a bang and him shouting, so I jumped up out of bed. Paul was all crunched up at the bottom of the stairs.”
