Bollards trial is set for 'terrifying' rural road

MEASURES WILL ALLOW COUNCIL TO MONITOR TRAFFIC BAN ON LANE

BOLLARDS could be installed on a road on the outskirts of Coventry which has been plagued by antisocial behaviour and fly-tipping.

The lockable bollards will block off a section of Watery Lane, near Corley Moor, stopping vehicles and making it safer for pedestrians, cyclists and horse-riders.

But the measures would only be in place for a limited time to allow officers from Coventry City Council to see how effective they were.

The section will run from Oak Tree House to Hollyberry Hill.

Another section will also be subject to a ban but this part of the road would remain open and have signs installed restricting use.
