THE ladies’ latest match in the Wild League was at home against Purnell.

Despite losing on two rinks, Wells’ shot difference on their sole winning rink was enough to take victory overall by just three shots, 63-60. The win saw Wells earn another eight league points.
Rink scores: C Jenner-Timms, R Allen, P Green 24 shots (Purnell 11); C Pringle, J Collingwood, S May 20 shots (Purnell 24); A Churches. 0 Michelmore, J Rossiter 19 shots (Purnell 25).
The men’s latest game in the Mid Somerset League was also at home, facing Shepton Mallet.
Although Wells won on two rinks and lost the third, they were beaten overall by just seven shots, 56-49, to gain four league points.
Rink scores: P Henry, R Fisher, C Higgins, A Denning 17 shots (Shepton Mallet 15); L Palmer, M DeFerry, D Higgins, A Wickham 13 shots (Shepton 25); G Howell, D Gait, J Manvill, M Rawle 19 shots (Shepton 16).
In their latest Somerset County League game, the men travelled to Norwest A. The hosts proved too strong on the day as they won on all three rinks and 74-49 overall.
Rink scores: P Henry, A Barrett, C Higgins, A Whitehead 16 shots (Norwest A 27); Jon Rossiter, E Norris, M Strudwick, A Wickham 18 shots (Norwest 25); T Collingwood, P Allen, J Manvill, M Rawle 15 shots (Norwest 22).
The final club game of the week was a three-rink friendly at home against Trowbridge Westbourne. Victory went to the visitors, who won on two rinks and 50-34 overall.
Rink scores: P Kirk, S Ringrose, J DeFerry, T Collingwood 14 shots (Trowbridge W 11); R Reakes, R St. John, M DeFerry, A Churches 13 shots (TW 15); Jon Rossiter, 0 Michelmore/C Manvill, J Collingwood, L Palmer 7 shots (TW 24).
In round four of the National Ladies Triples, Angie Churches, Cilla Gadd & Carole Jenner-Timms enjoyed a home win against Castle Cary. Ailsa Midwinter, Carolle Skeates & Heather Willerton were also successful at home to Ilminster.
