TRADITIONAL leaders in Vhembe have called on municipalities to involve them in all rural development projects, saying they are often left out of planning processes.
Khosi Gonome Tshifularo, Vhembe district chief whip Josephine Mukwevho and Vhembe Mayor Freda Nkondo.
Khosi Gogome Tshifularo, the traditional leader of Tshikombani village under the Tshivhase Dynasty, spoke at the Fondwe Mighty Blues sports grounds last Wednesday during a mayoral imbizo hosted by the Thulamela Municipality. He represented Thovhele Midiyavhathu Tshivhase and was joined by Vhembe Mayor Freda Nkondo, councillors and other traditional leaders.
