A massive explosion in the chemical reactor at Sigachi Industries in the Pashamylaram industrial area of Telangana's Sangareddy district claimed 12 lives and left 30 others injured, 12 of them critically, this morning.

According to police, a chemical reactor exploded, triggering a fierce fire that gutted significant portions of the factory. The blast was so powerful that it flung workers up to 100 meters away. At the time of the incident, around 108 workers were reportedly on duty.

Five workers died on the spot, while seven others succumbed to injuries at the hospital. Emergency services, including 11 fire tenders, rushed to the site and managed to bring the blaze under control.
