The PM-KUSUM scheme, aimed at providing solar energy pumps to farmers in Kerala, has turned into one of the biggest corruption scandals in the state in recent times, AICC Working Committee member Ramesh Chennithala alleged today.

Talking to newspersons here, Chennithala demanded a detailed probe into the irregularities in the Rs 240 crore tender issued for the installation of solar-powered pumps under the PM-KUSUM scheme, implemented through ANERT in Kerala.

The irregularities began when the ANERT CEO, who is authorized to issue tenders only up to Rs 5 crore, floated a tender worth Rs 240 crore, alleged Chennithala, who also made public all related documents.
