Kishan Reddy urges responsible, eco-friendly mining

Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy today emphasised the need for India's mineral industries to scale up production in a responsible and environmentally conscious manner.

Delivering the inaugural address at the ‘international Mining Conference! hosted by the World Mining in Hyderabad, the Minister called for sustainable practices that balance economic development with ecological preservation and community welfare.

Kishan Reddy stressed the importance of achieving self-sufficiency in key mineral sectors like coal, aluminum, and copper, while simultaneously ensuring mining activities do not harm the environment or local communities.
