Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Inaugurates JITO Connect 2025 in Hyderabad

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today inaugurated JITO Connect 2025, a flagship initiative by the Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO) designed to foster networking, collaboration, and growth among Jain professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders.

Seaking at the event, Rajnath Singh highlighted India’s emergence as a global manufacturing hub, producing everything from toys to tanks. He said India is now self-reliant in Defence, with “Made in India” displayed on all platforms, including Tejas fighter aircraft, Akash missiles, and Arjun tanks.
The government and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited recently signed a deal for 97 light combat aircraft, with over 70 per cent produced domestically.
The Defence Minister noted that defence exports have grown from Rs 600 crore 11 years ago to Rs 24,000 crore today, and are expected to reach Rs 50,000 crore by 2029. He emphasised that India's military expansion is aimed at protecting national values, not aggression.
