Cabinet Approves Kharsia-Parmalka Railway Project with Record Budget Allocation of ₹8,741 Crore

In a move to strengthen and modernise the Railway infrastructure in Chhattisgarh, the Union Cabinet has approved the Kharsia-Parmalka railway project with a massive budget allocation of ₹8,741 Crore.

This transformative initiative is set to revolutionise Rail connectivity across the state, ensuring faster, safer and more efficient transport for passengers and goods alike.

Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Chhattisgarh has witnessed a historic 22X increase in Railway budget allocations — from a mere ₹300 Crore under previous governments to over ₹8,000 Crore. This exponential growth in investment marks a decisive step towards building a Viksit Bharat.
